Busay Falls (Perez, Kidapawan)

We're lost...

We are searching for the falls that our friend told us but we are unable to find it. Our guide directed us to the falls which is near to their house, around 30 minutes hike. there are two cascading falls we found. The first is about 30 feet and the second is about 50 feet. Although the water is not so good, not cold and not drinkable, we found our excited on the trail. We make our way to the falls. The trek is almost 90 degree slope with no hard trees to grab on, only shrubs. Actually, our guide forgot the trail because nobody is coming there, except us.

Lapaan Falls

so fresh...so cold..

Its the spring that supplies the water of whole kidapawan. The Metro Kidapawan Water District's pipelines protrudes as you are going down to the falls. It is just less than an hour hike from the nearest accesible road but in our case, we hiked for to almost two hours because the tricycle we rode had trouble so are forced to hike. If you're riding a "skylab", just tell the driver that you are about to go to "dam falls", "Lapaan falls". The skylab cost Php30 per pereson and 12 pesos if tricycle but far from falls. Kamandag Falls 3, Makilala

Our third trip to Kamandag is the best. Aside from the beauty of the falls, the trail is also exciting. I rode a horse plus trekking the trail for almost 2 hours.

Our Second trip to Sitio Kamandag was also very exciting because we visited 3 waterfalls.

We arrive at crossing Old Bulatukan around 9am and we started to walk immediately to Sitio Darapuay which is 4 km away and almost 45 minutes hike. On hour first trip, we hike it for one hour and for our 3rd trip, we did it for less than 45 minutes. But as we arrive at the Sitio, no one could guide us because most of the people there have work during morning. After we decided that we go for it on our own, Kgd Clarito barred us from going to the waterfalls because it is so far and there is a great probability that we will be lost. Then, she called his son and his nephews to guide us.

The First waterfall we saw is 1 hour and 30 minutes hike where you could encounter 90 degree slopes going down. It was so amazing, we arrive at the head of the falls and did have no chance to see the bootom because it is so high, about 100 ft. After a minute, we start hiking again to the second falls. It is near for only about 15 minute hike. We ate there and explore the beuty of it. The falls is only about 20-30 feet high and you can climb to it through rocks beside it. You can jump from top to bottom but at first im so hesitant to jump it because it is high.

The 3rd waterfall is only about 30 meters away but it takes time to reach it because you'll cross the river using "baging" at the river bank. the falls is twin, although small, 10-15feet, but it is stronger.
